Mustang Fanatics From Around the World Join Anniversary Celebration

FLUSHING, Mich - Mustang Fanatics From Around the World will Join the Anniversary Celebration starting on April 16th through the 20th. Sixteen different representatives from around the globe will be making their way to the United States to celebrate the 50 years of Mustang greatness with car cruises, live bands, ride-and-drives, exhibits and more! 

A celebration so massive that two different venues were needed. That's right, this 5-day Mustang event required Ford Motor Company and the Mustang Club of America to hold two simultaneous events at different locations. Both the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be hosting events for Mustang enthusiasts. The MCA has coordinated "Pony Drives" so that Mustang drivers from around the U.S. can journey together to either of the two venues. Some of the representatives from out of the country are actually shipping their Mustangs over to the U.S. so that they are able to participate in the "Pony Drive".

The Mustang Fanatics From Around the World Joining the Anniversary Celebration are from the following countries: United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Italy and the United Kingdom. All of the excitement and love for the iconic pony car has caused Ford Motor Company to make a very exciting decision. They will be offering the 2015 Mustang globally for the very first time. There will actually be two twin models of the 2015 Mustang at the Charlotte and Las Vegas Motor Speedways for event attendees to visit.

The Mustang Fills Role as the Perfect "Hero Car"

FLUSHING, Mich - There has been much anticipation for the upcoming film "Need for Speed" based off of the long-running video game series from Electronic Arts. In just two weeks, the film will hit theaters and debut the latest pony car for the very first time on the big screen. Director, Scott Waugh, stated that the Mustang fills role as the perfect "Hero Car" and the best representation of American culture; exactly what the main character in the movie, Toby Marshall, needed.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will have a role in the film as well as the Mustang GT, which is the main vehicle driven by Emmy-award winning actor, Aaron Paul, who will be playing Toby Marshall. Scott Waugh told Ford Media,"The best movie cars combine tons of power, rear-wheel drive, great handling, and the ability to be easily flung around corners, the Mustang fits the bill perfectly". In high-intensity films like "Need for Speed", the horsepower needs be top of the line and of course it helps if the car is easy on the eyes. Waugh thought there wasn't a better choice than the Ford Mustang.

Ford engineers and designers created a custom wide-body kit for the film, complete with unique lighting and a high-output supercharged V8 engine. The Mustang is one-of-a-kind and looks fast when it is in park. Under Waugh's direction, the Mustang really comes to life on screen and amplifies all of its outstanding qualities. 

As much as people loved the performance and look of the Mustang over the past five decades, they also loved the way it made them feel. The Mustang has always been a symbol of freedom and optimism for fans all over the world. With the Mustang's worldwide appeal, the roaring engine and dynamic proportions that Waugh has executed in the film will bring the entire audience excitement and understanding of the passion that goes into the Mustang.

Stern Pinball Creates Three New Mustang-Themed Games

FLUSHING, Mich - Stern Pinball created three new Mustang-themed games that are set to be revealed at the Chicago Auto Show on February 6 and 7th. The Chicago bred company developed the Mustang-inspired games by combining two major elements of 20th century pop culture; the pinball machine and the original pony car.

The three pro-level Mustang-themed games will be introduced this spring with cabinet and backboard artwork which honor 50 years of Mustang. There are several diverse, interactive sections of the playfield and various shots which allow players to go drag racing, rallying, drifting and road racing to get a high score. The game has real Mustang sounds and video displays in the backboard, giving off a similar experience of being in a Mustang.

Stern has been committed to staying true to the original idea of pinball, while simultaneously incorporating modern design and mechanical systems to challenge the players. A premium game offered features the Mustang Boss 303, Boss 351 and Boss 429, PLUS a limited-edition game will be available tributing the 1965 original and all-new Ford Mustang. 

Stern Pinball is one of several companies who have paid tribute to 50 years of Mustang success. Mattel came out with a 50 years of Mustang Hot Wheels collection, Caddyshack with a limited-edition Shelby GT500 Mustang golf car and Berg with the Mustang GT pedal go kart.

2015 Mustang Sells for $300,000 at Barrett-Jackson Auction

FLUSHING, Mich - Sam Pack, car collector and North Texas Ford dealer, bought the 2015 Mustang for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Proceeds of the sale will benefit JDRF, the leading diabetes research organization and a Ford partner since 1983. The purchase of the all-new Ford Mustang for $300,000 helped Ford Motor Company increase charity vehicle sales to more than $3.5 million!

The Ford Mustang has always been known as "the car designed to be designed by you", which is exactly what bidder Sam Pack is going to be able to do. Pack will have the option of an automatic or manual transmission as well as choose the interior and exterior combination offered on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The Mustang design and development team will also sign the car in appreciation of the donation to JDRF.

John Brady, the incoming chairman for JDRF, was absolutely thrilled with the results of the auction and the efforts from Ford and Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. The future Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan also received a donation, thanks to the sale of the 1956 Ford F-100. The truck is a beautiful combination of street rod styling and influences from the Ford Shelby GT500. KISS bassist, Gene Simmons and Saskatoon-born actress wife, Shannon Tweed-Simmons, came together with area businesses to create the Wheels of Dreams Project. The fundraising of this project will go to help the Children's Hospital's 2016 construction completion goal.

The 2015 Mustang Selling for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company's event as well as the sale of the 1956 F-100 allowed for two donations to be made to two incredible causes. The all-new Ford Mustang is set to go on sale this upcoming fall.

FLUSHING, Mich - Look out Hollywood, the All-New Ford Mustang is in Town! Only months away from the highly anticipated "Need for Speed" film, the 2015 Ford Mustang is ready to make it's big screen debut. 

Aaron Paul will be the star of the film and the lucky driver of both the 2015 and 2014 Ford Mustang. Director Scott Waugh felt there was no better vehicle for Aaron Paul's character in the film. He wasted no time getting the new Mustang into the movie; stating it was the perfect representation of modern muscle and American culture. 

Over the past 50 years, the Mustang has created an impressive resume of movie and television appearances. Totaling over 3,200, documenting the filmography of the Mustang has been quite the task. A task so large that it took more than 100 contributors to build the MustangIMDB.com site, created by Stefan Thorarensen. 

The All-New Ford Mustang truly left its mark on the town after its debut on December 5, 2013 in Hollywood, CA. The pony car rolled out onto a pad of wet cement in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre, leaving its prints and signature logo amongst nearly 200 human stars.
