MCA's Mustang Celebration Will Be One For The Books

FLUSHING, Mich - The Mustang Club of America (MCA) is hosting a Mustang Celebration that will be one for the books. Enthusiasts from all over the United States are invited and encouraged to join in on this historic celebration of the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration.

Happy Birthday, Ford Mustang! Fifty years old never looked so good! The MCA, along with support from Ford Motor Company, will be holding an amazing event that Mustang lovers from all over America can enjoy. Cars young and old are invited to join in on a cross-country drive to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway for five days full of Mustang festivities.

Starting on April 13, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma, drivers will take the U.S. by storm. Each Pony Drive will stop in three different host cities along the way as well as have a unique goodie box to offer each participant. For those who are unable to travel to Norman, they are still able to register online and meet in one of the other host cities. According to Ford Media, the tentative schedule is:

• Sunday, April 13 – Pony Drive Migration Begins from Norman, Okla.
• Wednesday, April 16 – The first official day of the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration will feature vendors and exhibits as Pony Drives and members arrive
• Thursday, April 17 – MCA will conduct opening ceremonies followed by a host of activities and exhibits including track time, Ford’s Ride & Drives and hot laps, car displays, vendors and historical displays celebrating Mustang’s 50th
• Friday, April 18 – Activities continue, with a themed dinner
• Saturday, April 19 – The festivities will follow the same pattern as Friday; Saturday evening will feature the Saturday Night Banquet, with guest speakers
• Sunday, April 20 – Easter Sunrise Services will be held early morning at both tracks; parade laps around the speedways and closing ceremonies

Ford's 2014 NAIAS Display Tops Previous Years'

FLUSHING, Mich- Have you been to the North American International Auto Show yet? It has been said that Ford's 2014 NAIAS Display Tops Previous Years' with a larger visitor interactive experience and a very impressive display of 82 exceptional vehicles.

Ford is taking up 66,167 square feet of floor space with 82 vehicles, interactive displays, and a fresh lineup of their newest innovations. A new upper-level exhibit, "50 Years of Mustang", showcases 50 years of Mustang greatness, while "The Future of Tough" takes visitors through a assembly line process of the Ford F-150. Consumers will be able to interact with the Ford vehicles that will demonstrate to them the strength and quality that the new lineup of products have.

"The Future of Tough" features a 22 foot, 75,000 pound assembly line display, showing customers each stage of the F-150 construction. Each stage of construction focuses on a particular theme of either durability, capability, efficiency, and technology. The assembly line display helps customers understand the extent of what Ford engineers had to go to to bring the F-150 to life.

"50 Years of Mustang" takes over the new upper-level display and looks back on 50 years of Mustang success. From its impact on fashion, film, food, and fun to historical artifacts, this display is Mustang heaven! The all-new pony car is on display front and center with it's 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine.

Visitors can also enjoy a live engagement presentation and film as well as take part in the narration and presentation. Ford also has two race simulators that allows to drivers to race on a head-to-head road course and compete for the winning time (which can then be shared via their social networks).
