Ford Shows Off Fleet of Customized Trucks

FLUSHING, Mich. - SEMA is officially underway and Ford is showing off a fleet of customized trucks that any automobile enthusiast would love to have in their driveway. Among the modified vehicles are:

1. The EcoTrek Ford F-350. This Ford F-350 by EcoTrek is designed for the zombie enthusiasts, or those preparing for the end of the world. This survivor vehicle will more than survive if the world were to end, with a 50 gallon fuel tank under the bed and a removable 75 gallon tank inside the bed that will allow you to keep on trucking for about 1,800 miles. Powered by a 6.7-liter V8 engine, it runs on diesel, biodiesel, or algae-based biodiesel.

Along with providing you with a great getaway vehicle, the EcoTrek Ford F-350 also doubles as a camper. It comes outfitted with solar panels that will power the stove and refrigerator found in the back of the vehicle. It also comes standard with sleeping bags, backpacks, and storage lockers. Talk about an all-in-one vehicle!

2. Adventure Edition F-150. If you prefer to plan for the upcoming weekend as opposed to the end of the world, the Adventure Edition F-150 is the vehicle for you! This Adventure F-150 has the outdoor lovers in mind with a 11,000 lb Superwinch, 6-inch lift kick, Dick Cepek all-terrain wheel and tires TruckVault locked storage. It also comes with a custom audio system, custom bumpers and fender flairs - all perfect for those looking to take the family on a getaway this weekend!

3.  Super Duty High Roller. This customized truck combines country living with high-class luxury. Powered by a 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel powertrain, it also comes with a Banks Power Ram-Air intake, Banks Straight-Shot water-methanol injection system, Banks iQ Man-Machine Interface and MagnaFlow exhaust - all of which combines to give you more power and efficiency. Inside the vehicle is where all passengers will feel luxurious. QuietRIDE Solutions noise insulation ensures that you have a silent ride, and custom upholstery and custom floor mats make you feel like a million bucks.

2015 Ford Expedition Spy Shots

FLUSHING, Mich. - 2015 Ford Expedition spy shots have surfaced on the internet, as the camouflaged vehicle was seen driving around Michigan. Although the SUV's covering kept fine details under wraps, it was easy to see that the vehicle has undergone some changes.

Starting with the full-size SUV's exterior, it appears to have received a bigger chrome grille and a raised front fascia. The straight exhaust pipe on the rear end of the vehicle is new, as the current vehicle has a 90 degree angled pipe that releases on the passenger side.

The interior of the vehicle isn't expected to undergo a complete overhaul, however, there will be a few tweaks here and there. The center stack has been modernized, but with buttons and knobs instead of the touch-sensitive controls. Numerous Ford drivers expressed their preference for the buttons and knobs, so Ford took their opinions into account and reinstated them in the 2015 SUV. The steering wheel also looks to have received an update to accommodate the new interior design. We also spotted an engine stop-start system in this 2015 Ford Expedition prototype, so expect to see a hands-free keyless entry on the new model.

As for what's going on under the hood, the 2015 Ford Expedition is expected to receive a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine. This updated engine would increase the current 310HP to 365, as well as improve the current EPA ratings significantly.

Ford has announced that the 2014 Ford Fiesta is the most fuel efficient non-hybrid in the U.S., with an outstanding EPA rating of 45 mpg on the highway.

The reason behind this impressive rating is the subcompact car's 1-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine that gets the Fiesta a combined 37 miles per gallon - 32 mpg in the city, 45 mpg on the highway. This makes the 2014 Ford Fiesta the most fuel efficient non-hybrid, gasoline-fueled car in the U.S.

Along with being fuel efficient, the tiny vehicle also packs a punch! The new 1-liter EcoBoost engine produces more 123 hp and 123 lb.-ft. of torque - pretty impressive for a small car!
