FLUSHING, Mich - This Friday, June 27th, the Ford Focus ST will make its Global Debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. Professional drivers will showcase the Ford Focus ST's abilities and performance on the infamous hill climb during the three-day event. The new Ford Focus ST will benefit from the same enhanced technology and quality features that the new Ford Focus revealed earlier this year. 

Ford has also teamed up with Sony Computer Entertainment to stage the very first "virtual versus real" race on the hill. For the first run each day, the new Focus ST will compete in real time against the Focus ST in the Gran Turismo®6 game for PlayStation®3. The designated gamer will take on Ben Collins, the former Stig of Top Gear, in a head to head race that will be displayed on the big screens throughout the entire festival. Along with the Ford Focus ST's Global Debut, attendees will also have the opportunity to feast their eyes on the all-new Ford Mustang! This will be the Mustang's first U.K. appearance.

Ford China Begins 2014 With a Strong Start

FLUSHING, Mich - Ford China did not waste a second of time, heading into 2014 at full speed ahead. Ford China beings 2014 with a strong start as wholesales reached 94,466; a whopping 53 percent growth. Thanks to many sales of some fine automobiles, Ford China is starting a new year with some big numbers on the board.

Ford China passenger cars alone accounted for 72,598 of the vehicles sold. This is a massive 63 percent increase compared to sales in January 2013. The Ford Focus lead in growth as it continues to please consumers with its sleek design, safety features, fuel efficiency, and latest technology. Sales for the nameplate reached 36,358 cars in January, up eight percent from last year. According to IHS Automotive, the Focus was named the top selling nameplate in the passenger vehicle market in China throughout 2013. The Ford Mondeo nameplate was another high demand vehicle; 10,704 cars sold made for a 51 percent increase from last year.

FLUSHING, Mich - The Ford Focus Increases Lead as Best-Selling Vehicle Nameplate as global registrations grew by more than 16 percent year-over-year. Increased growth in China has caused Focus registrations to surpass 303,000 units there and earn the title of the best-selling passenger car nameplate.

According to Polk global vehicle data, the Ford Focus is the best-selling nameplate in the world. Strong growth in China during 2013 between January and September led to 856,587 global registrations. China was without a doubt the largest contributor to Ford success with 303, 481 registrations; an 85 percent year-over-year increase.

In China, the top components that set vehicles apart are the vehicle design, exceptional safety and high quality. Each of these components scored 15 to 40 percent higher among customers than Ford's closest competitor. 2014 Ford Focus ST Spy Shots

FLUSHING, Mich.- We recently reported on the new Ford Fiesta ST, and soon another updated model will be joining the Ford Special Vehicles Team! A few 2014 Ford Focus ST spy shots have hit the web after the prototype was spotted performance testing at the Nurgurgring in Germany! According to the photos, it appears the 2014 model will receive a slight facelift.

The latest 2014 Ford Focus ST spy shots lead us to believe the vehicle will receive a slight makeover that will bring it up to date with the new Ford Fiesta and Fusion. The most notable changes appear to be an updated grille, resembling that of the Fusion and Fiesta, as well as tweaked headlights. However, both the front and rear ends are heavily camouflaged which may conceal additional changes. Though we can expect the classic ST styling to remain the same with centrally mounted twin exhausts, bigger side-skirts, larger wheels and lower ride hight.

Exact features and specifications will become known when the new Focus ST makes its debut, possibly before the end of the year! And you can make it your own when it hits showrooms in the first half of 2014!

2013 Ford Focus Earns Highest IIHS Safety Rating

FLUSHING, Mich.- Add a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to the 2013 Ford Focus' safety awards!
