The 2015 Ford Mustang is in a New York State of Mind

FLUSHING, Mich - The 2015 Ford Mustang is in a New York State of Mind and headed to the top of one of the most popular New York City landmarks; the Empire State Building. In celebration of the Mustang's 50th birthday as well as its debut at the 1964 World's Far in New York, the 2015 Ford Mustang will be displayed on the observation deck of the Empire State Building. It has been 50 years since the original feat of the Mustang, so what better time for the latest pony car model to get another bird's eye view of the city?

On April 16-17th, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang will be 86 stories high on the observation deck of the Empire State Building. As you can imagine, taking the Mustang to such heights is no easier today than it was 50 years ago. There is no portable crane tall enough to reach 86 stories and helicopter delivery is impossible with the spire around the deck. So, the Mustang must take the elevator. Computer engineering data has allowed Ford engineers to once again slice the Mustang into three pieces that fit inside of the elevator. Once all of the pieces of the car reach the top, technicians will have about six hours to fully assemble the iconic pony car. 

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be in a New York State of Mind from April 16-17th. Visitors to the Empire State Building observation deck can see the Mustang from 8am to 2pm. The Mustang Fills Role as the Perfect "Hero Car"

FLUSHING, Mich - There has been much anticipation for the upcoming film "Need for Speed" based off of the long-running video game series from Electronic Arts. In just two weeks, the film will hit theaters and debut the latest pony car for the very first time on the big screen. Director, Scott Waugh, stated that the Mustang fills role as the perfect "Hero Car" and the best representation of American culture; exactly what the main character in the movie, Toby Marshall, needed.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will have a role in the film as well as the Mustang GT, which is the main vehicle driven by Emmy-award winning actor, Aaron Paul, who will be playing Toby Marshall. Scott Waugh told Ford Media,"The best movie cars combine tons of power, rear-wheel drive, great handling, and the ability to be easily flung around corners, the Mustang fits the bill perfectly". In high-intensity films like "Need for Speed", the horsepower needs be top of the line and of course it helps if the car is easy on the eyes. Waugh thought there wasn't a better choice than the Ford Mustang.

Ford engineers and designers created a custom wide-body kit for the film, complete with unique lighting and a high-output supercharged V8 engine. The Mustang is one-of-a-kind and looks fast when it is in park. Under Waugh's direction, the Mustang really comes to life on screen and amplifies all of its outstanding qualities. 

As much as people loved the performance and look of the Mustang over the past five decades, they also loved the way it made them feel. The Mustang has always been a symbol of freedom and optimism for fans all over the world. 2015 Mustang Sells for $300,000 at Barrett-Jackson Auction

FLUSHING, Mich - Sam Pack, car collector and North Texas Ford dealer, bought the 2015 Mustang for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Proceeds of the sale will benefit JDRF, the leading diabetes research organization and a Ford partner since 1983. The purchase of the all-new Ford Mustang for $300,000 helped Ford Motor Company increase charity vehicle sales to more than $3.5 million!

The Ford Mustang has always been known as "the car designed to be designed by you", which is exactly what bidder Sam Pack is going to be able to do. Pack will have the option of an automatic or manual transmission as well as choose the interior and exterior combination offered on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The Mustang design and development team will also sign the car in appreciation of the donation to JDRF.

John Brady, the incoming chairman for JDRF, was absolutely thrilled with the results of the auction and the efforts from Ford and Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. The future Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan also received a donation, thanks to the sale of the 1956 Ford F-100. The truck is a beautiful combination of street rod styling and influences from the Ford Shelby GT500. KISS bassist, Gene Simmons and Saskatoon-born actress wife, Shannon Tweed-Simmons, came together with area businesses to create the Wheels of Dreams Project. The fundraising of this project will go to help the Children's Hospital's 2016 construction completion goal.

The 2015 Mustang Selling for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company's event as well as the sale of the 1956 F-100 allowed for two donations to be made to two incredible causes. The all-new Ford Mustang is set to go on sale this upcoming fall.

2015 Ford Mustang Goes Topless

FLUSHING, Mich. - The 2015 Ford Mustang was revealed last week and muscle car fans across the world were in awe of the regular fastback coupe. Alongside this grand reveal, the 2015 Ford Mustang went topless!

The 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible has also undergone some serious updates, right along with the fastback. Featuring a wider and lower stance, the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible has been modernized with smoother lines and a longer nose. Despite receiving an update to become more modern, the pony car still hints at its 50 years of history with a 60's Mustang inspired rear.

A few other updates to the vehicle include a new suspension and more engine options. One engine option that has pony car lovers particularly excited is the all new 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that can produce 305 HP - all while delivering excellent fuel economy. For those not interested in the EcoBoost option, the convertible will also offer a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 420 HP and a base V6 option.

As for any changes to the actual top on the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible, Ford has promised that the power-operated cloth top will lower twice as fast on the new model - something many convertible Mustang drivers are sure to love!

2015 Ford Mustang

FLUSHING, Mich. - The moment you all have been waiting for.. Ladies and gentleman, the 2015 Ford Mustang has been revealed!

Every aspect of the iconic car’s exterior has been taken and reinvented, resulting in a modern pony car that sits lower and wider than in past years. With smooth lines, a fierce face, and a variety of little details to love, the 2015 Ford Mustang has been reinvented into a modern day stallion. However, despite the complete overhaul, Ford designers have not forgotten the vehicle’s roots. The fastback look in the rear is reminiscent of the 1960’s Mustang, while the admiring and envious looks are the same as they have been for the past 50 years.

 A few quick exterior facts:

• Wheels are out 20mm on each side
• Vehicle is the lightest it's ever been, having just shed 200 lbs.
• Taillights are narrowed
• Headlights are more forward than they've been in recent years
• Vehicle will come in standard colors such as black, white, silver, etc.
• Also come in red, orange, blue, a dark green and a brand new bright yellow
• Cabin has been moved backwards substantially
• Hood is longer
• Rear end features three-dimensional characteristics

The pony car has also received an update to its engine options, as it will now offer the current 3.7-liter V6, a 5.0-liter V8 and a brand new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. The EcoBoost is a great addition to the pony car because it now gives drivers the comfort of knowing they are getting great gas mileage without sacrificing the power. While we aren't exactly sure of how many MPG the new Mustang will get, Ford has promised that it will get a project class-leading fuel efficiency.

Leaked 2015 Ford Mustang Specs

FLUSHING, Mich. - While Ford recently announced that they will debuting the 2015 Ford Mustang in December, pony car fans everywhere will rejoice because someone from Ford Motor Company has leaked the 2015 Ford Mustang specs.

Previously we mentioned that the 2015 Ford Mustang, although heavily camouflaged, seemed to have a front that was heavily influenced by the Evos concept and the 2014 Ford Mustang. Now however, the specs have confirmed that it is indeed smaller and a little sleeker than the previous model, but the shape comes from classic retro Mustang shapes and the recent Ford Fusion.

As for the powertrain - the part you've been waiting for - it has been confirmed that a four-cylinder model will return to the Mustang range, as a 310HP, direct-injection 2.3-liter unit. It'll be above the base six-cylinder unit but below the V8 engine. The V8 engine will produce 420HP and the V6 will put out 305HP.

Other changes to the pony car are expected, such as a weight loss of about 200 pounds; rear suspension is independent across the range; and a retro-styled interior.

While the leaked 2015 Ford Mustang specs give us a better idea of what to expect, the vehicle will still debut in December - four months before the 50th anniversary in April, as well as a couple weeks before the Detroit Auto Show in January 2014. To tie you over until then, stop by our dealership today and take a look at the 2014 Mustang. 2015 Ford Mustang to Debut in December

FLUSHING, Mich. - We recently reported that the 2015 Ford Mustang would be revealed at the 2014 New York Auto Show in April, as Ford would be celebrating the Mustang's 50th anniversary. Now however, Ford has announced that the 2015 Ford Mustang will debut in December - four months earlier than previously thought!

Whether or not this debut has anything to do with the fact that computer generated images (like the one above) of the 2015 pony car have surfaced, Ford has revealed that they will debut the Mustang to the public at the end of this year. A select group of journalists have already been chosen to view the new vehicle, however, all were asked to keep details of the Mustang quiet until the big reveal.

Few details have been released about the sixth-generation Mustang, so not much can be said about what to expect with updated car. However, we do know that the new Mustang will be smaller, lighter, and will get a brand new grill and headlights.  As for under the hood, the Mustang is believed to be getting a 3.0-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8. A 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 will most likely be made available as well. Unfortunately, these are all guesses, as nothing has been confirmed by Ford.

2015 Ford Mustang Computer-Generated Image

FLUSHING, Mich. - A 2015 Ford Mustang computer-generated image has been released, stirring up pony car fans across the internet. This image is believed to be representative of the final design for the 2015 Ford Mustang, as the creator took styling cues from the previously taken spy shot, ensuring that the picture looked as similar as possible to the prototype.

Although the spy shots are clearly those of the 2015 Ford Mustang, not much could be seen since the pony car was heavily camouflaged. However, the shape for the headlights and grille were visible, giving fans a clear view of the Mustang's front that appears to be influenced by the Evos concept and the 2014 Ford Mustang. Looking at the front-end spy shots, you can see that the computer-generated image made an exact replica of what is on the Ford prototype.

Other than the 2015 Ford Mustang computer-generated image, not much else is known about the latest Mustang model. However, rumors suggest that a brand new platform complete with an independent suspension will be setup in the rear; the vehicle will weight about 400 pounds less; and fuel consumption will be cut by the introduction of a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. However, the exact specifics won't be released until the vehicle makes its debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

Ford to Debut 605HP Vortech-Supercharged Mustang at SEMA Show

FLUSHING, Mich. - As the world counts down until the release of the 2015 Ford Mustang, Ford keeps the excitement overflowing by announcing that it will debut a 605HP Vortech-Supercharged Mustang at the SEMA Show this November.

This Mustang, also known as the Project Yellow Jacket Ford Mustang, has a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine that produces 605HP and 474 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the Coyote, the Mustang also comes with a V-3 Si supercharging system with 7.5 psi of boost. While acceleration times haven't been disclosed, that information will almost certainly be made available at the SEMA Show.

The Project Yellow Jack Ford Mustang has a Boy Racer body kit from 3D carbon, a carbon-fiber cowl induction hood and more - all covered with a custom yellow paint. The Mustang has a variety of upgrades including a Webasto electronic sunroof, custom powder-coated Maximum Motorsports Road & Track box suspension package, Baer 6S six-piston brakes on all wheels, and a variety of other powerful upgrades that will be revealed at the show.

The SEMA show is held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center and draws, on average, over 60,000 buyers. This event is a great way for manufacturers, media, car dealers, buyers and more to come together and attend educational seminars, see product demonstrations, admire one of the thousands of cars on display, network, and participate in a variety of other events. It's a great show for all automobile enthusiasts and is not open to the general public.

2015 Ford Mustang Interior Spy Shots

FLUSHING, Mich. - The countdown until the release of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues, with shots of the prototype's exterior being passed around the internet. Now however, we finally get a good look inside of the pony car with these 2015 Ford Mustang interior spy shots!

As you can see from the photos, the 2015 Ford Mustang will have an infotainment screen mounted above the climate control buttons - 9 buttons to be exact. This new model appears to have 9 central buttons framed by dual zone temperature dials and buttons for heated/cooled seats. Below the climate controls you can see a row of switches, including traction control and emergency flashers.

We mentioned before that the newest pony car may resemble the 2011 Ford Evos concept car, and it appears that this rumor is true! The above interior shots confirm that the 2015 Mustang's C-pillar window is smaller and strikingly similar to the windows on the Ford Evos concept.

FLUSHING, Mich.- As rumors swirl about exactly what will replace the current Mustang Shelby GT500 muscle car, Michigan residents can now give their first hand opinion since the suspected 2015 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 was spied in Detroit! It’s been suggested that a Cobra-badged model or GT350 will be the vehicle to replace the GT500, and the recent Mustang sighting only fuels that rumor further!

As usual with Mustang sightings, not must is know about the vehicle quite yet as Ford Motor Company tries to keep the details under wraps until the big reveal. First officially appearing on the 1962 Mustang I concept, the galloping horse emblem made its production debut in 1964. New 2015 Ford Mustang Spy Shots

FLUSHING, Mich.- We've all been anxiously awaiting the much anticipated debut of the 50th Anniversary Mustang, and while the rumors and "leaked" bits of information continue to multiply, the new 2015 Ford Mustang Spy Shots are our closest look yet at the next generation model!

One of the many headlines to hit the web suggested that the newest pony car may resemble the 2011 Ford Evos Concept Car, and while that rumor was thoroughly debated, the revealing new 2015 Ford Mustang spy shots seem to confirm that suggestion! However, according to the spy photos, it looks like the 50th anniversary model will remain roughly the same size as the current model.

Updated with an independent rear suspension, the next-gen 'Stang will be offered with turbocharging (EcoBoost) for the first time since the 1980 SVO Mustang! Both turbo four's and six's are expected, but it wouldn't be surprising if Ford also offered a V8.

Production of the 2015 Ford Mustang is expected to begin in Summer 2014, so it's likely that we'll begin to see more of these prototypes roaming about! Next-Gen 2014 1/2 Limited Edition Ford Mustang

FLUSHING, Mich.- As the release of the 50th anniversary Ford Mustang approaches, gear heads all over the world have been speculating its debut. Rumors, renderings, and spy photos galore. But according to the most recent headlines, it looks like we won't have to wait so long for our first glimpse after all. Inside sources have revealed that a next-gen 2014 1/2 Limited Edition Ford Mustang is in the works and will be the first Mustang to be based on the next generation S550 platform!

Sure to be instant collectors' items, the next-gen 2014 1/2 Limited Edition Ford Mustang's will each come with a special VIN and build number. However, Ford only plans to build 1,000 of the special vehicles. While the 2014 1/2 Mustang will be a limited edition model to celebrate the muscle car's 50th anniversary, it is not expected to receive any additional high performance upgrades compared to the standard 2015 model.
