The evolution of the Ford Mustang badge began with a lengthy design process, as well as multiple name changes including Avanti, Allegro, Torino, and Cougar. First officially appearing on the 1962 Mustang I concept, the galloping horse emblem made its production debut in 1964. Since that historic date, the Pony badge has experienced many design changes and will soon make history with the debut of the 50th anniversary Ford Mustang!
