"Hoppy" Easter Treats

FLUSHING, Mich - We have a delicious line up of "Hoppy" Easter Treats for you to try this year! Each of these recipes require a minimal amount of ingredients and can all be made with the help of kids. These are so easy, we hardly needed to use the recipe and glanced at the photos to create these yummy snacks! Also, we kept in mind that Spring is here and it is time to take advantage of the beautiful weather. All of our treat suggestions are time savers and won't leave you in the kitchen for hours. The other great news? These recipes require similar ingredients, so your trip to the market will be a piece of cake!

"Hoppy" Easter Treats
Rice Krispie Treats are one of the most hassle-free desserts ever! You can cut them into small squares or get festive by cutting them into egg shapes with a cookie cutter. Melt chocolate over the stove, then stir in the oil until it is smooth. Dip the treats into the chocolate, lay on parchment paper and then add sprinkles or small candies. Leave the treats on the parchment paper until they have completely hardened!

6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal
10oz mini marshmallows
1/4 cup of butter (1/2 stick)
1 bag of chocolate candy melts
1 container of sprinkles
Egg-shaped cookie cutter (optional)
 Parchment paper

If you love the combination of salty and sweet, you will adore these Chocolate Egg Nests! Melt the chocolate over the stove,  remove from the heat, then gently add the pretzel sticks. Stir carefully until they are completely coated. Form the pretzels into "nests" and refrigerate for one hour. Use the extra chocolate as a "glue" and top with M&M's Speckled Eggs or any other candy of your choice!

Ingredients: 11-ounce bag of Milk Chocolate Morsels
2-3 cups of pretzel sticks (broken in half)
M&M's Speckled Eggs (or candy of your choice)
Parchment Paper

"Hoppy" Easter Treats
This will attract more than the Easter Bunny! Bunny Bait is an addictive mixture of salty and sweet that you can set out as a snack or put into small bags as a parting gift. Spread the pretzels, popcorn and Chex cereal on a foil or parchment paper covered baking sheet. Coat the mix with white chocolate and stir to be sure it is covered evenly. Add the sprinkles and allow it to harden on the cookie sheet. Break the bait apart into bowls or bags, add the M&M's and Ta-dah!

Ingredients: 2 cups pretzels
1 bag popped white popcorn
1 package white melting chocolate
1 bag of festive M&M's
2 cups of Chex cereal
1 container of colored sprinkles
Parchment Paper
Cookie Sheets

Marshmallow Peeps are an Easter classic! Add a fun little twist by dipping them into chocolate and adding sprinkles or colored sugars. Use up the left over chocolate and sprinkles from your Bunny Bait to make this super easy treat!

Ingredients: 1 package melted white or milk chocolate
1-2 packages of Peeps
1 container of sprinkles, colored sugar, etc.
Parchment Paper
